I’m DK, founder of H2 Photo Studio.
I studied Computer Science at NUS and worked as an engineer for many years — but photography was always the thing I actually looked forward to. I started shooting professionally in 2007, mostly commercial work. It was fine, but it never really stuck with me.
Family photography was different. The first time I made a nervous kid laugh in front of the camera, I was hooked. There’s nothing quite like it.
In 2020, I opened the studio at Midview City and went all in on family and portrait work. 17 years behind the camera, two kids of my own — I know how to read a room, keep things relaxed, and get genuine expressions out of people who think they’re “not photogenic.”
I’m pretty particular about lighting and I edit on the natural side. What you see in the photos is what your family actually looks like — just on a good day.

Makeup, to me, is not about changing who you are, but about enhancing the beauty that already exists.
