FAQ

  1. I want to come in early for preparation / makeup. How early can I come?

    You can come 15 minutes in advance for preparation purposes, subjected to availability. Please do notify us if you want to come early.

  2. I want to extend my booking time. How does it work?

    Extension comes in 15-minute blocks. First block is free (please vacate if you don’t plan to extend!), subsequent blocks will be prorated. For example, if you stay 20 minutes past your allocated time, you will be charged for 2 blocks, which will be $35 x .5 = $17.5 for weekday bookings. Please do note that extension is strictly dependent on availability, if there is no available slot, you will be asked to vacate.

  3. I paid in advance and had 5% discount, can I enjoy the discount if I extend?

    Yes, discount is applicable, but extension will be subjected to availability.

  4. I’m late for the shoot, can you count the time only when I start?

    Yes, subjected to availability and the flexibility will be limited to 15 minutes.

  5. I have to cancel my shoot, can I get a refund?

    For already-paid booking, please inform us more than 48 hours in advance for full refund. No refund will be given within 48 hours of the booking.

  6. Is lighting equipment included with the rental fee?

    Yes, all studio equipment is included with the rental fee.

  7. Are camera / lens included with the rental fee?

    No, rental doesn’t come with camera and lens, you will have to bring your own.

  8. I don’t know how to set up the studio lighting. Will there be someone to help me?

    Yes, a studio assistant will be there to help with the setup. Do note that the studio assistant isn’t a full-time dedicated assistant.

  9. How many types of background will be provided?

    There are 10 backgrounds in the studio.

  10. What type of camera compatibility is required for the studio lighting?

    Camera needs to have a standard hotshoe and manual exposure mode. Almost all high-end point-and-shoot, DSLR and mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras are compatible with our lighting system. If you’re using Sony Alpha without the standard hotshoe, we will provide the hotshoe adaptor as well.

  11. Is the lighting equipment suitable for video?

    Yes, there are 4 continuous LED blocks, which can be used for video.

  12. Is the studio quiet for video / audio recording?

    Traffic and construction noise is minimal but there might be airplanes passing-by on rare occasions. We can’t guarantee on noise-free environment.

  13. Can I wear shoes on the background?

    Yes but tapping of shoes (with scotch tape / masking tape) is strictly required. Damaging the background is chargeable.

  14. Can I bring food / drink?

    Yes but please keep them in the lobby area and clean after yourself.

  15. Are pets allowed?

    Yes but please clean after your session.

  16. Is there parking inside the studio building?

    Yes, there are two floors of parking (level 3 & 4) with direct lift access inside the building, The Commerze @ Irving.
